The safety clamp is placed in the supply tubing on a mounted fitting and pressed together. The two halves interlock and additionally clamp the respective hose. This applies to the 8 mm tubing just as it does to the outgoing 3 mm tubing. The clamp provides additional security in special installation situations, for example when the supply tubing is very hot or can no longer be checked later. Caution, it is usually difficult to unclip the clamp; where a hose replacement is to be expected, the clamp should be dispensed with.
