The Blumat Classic supplies the plant with water directly through its porous clay cone, where the drying soil sucks out water. A vacuum is created which causes the water to rise from the storage container standing next to it. The prerequisite for this regulating suction operation - no suction is applied if there is sufficient moisture - is a water level in the container that is the same or up to 5 cm lower.
The delivery rate corresponding to the suction power is designed for the consumption of small potted plants (indoor plants), but the Blumat Classic can also be used on the balcony or terrace for boxes and tub plants if they are multiple used according to their water delivery. Blumat Classic are not suitable for plants on the bed.
Water delivery per day:
- Size 1 at water level 0 to -5 cm: approx. 80 - 90 ml
- Size 2 - XL - at water level 0 to -5 cm: approx. 100 - 120 ml
When the water level is above the cone, the humidity is no longer controlled, the water delivery increases up to 250 ml (for XL). Attention, excess water possible!
